Grounding in Sound

A Meditation & Sound Bath Journey

This session is an invitation to return inward — into the body, the breath, and the steady ground beneath you.

Through a combination of guided meditation and sound, the evening supports nervous system settling, embodied awareness, and a sense of rooted presence. Rather than drifting away, the emphasis is on arriving more fully into lived experience, allowing sound and stillness to be felt and integrated within the body.

The practice gently encourages awareness of physical sensation, emotional tone, and inner spaciousness, supporting a deeper sense of balance and connection.

The Flow of the Evening

Opening Sound Meditation
The session begins with a short, guided sound meditation to support arrival. Gentle sound and simple guidance help attention settle into the body, quiet mental activity, and establish a sense of grounded presence.

Sound Bath
You are then invited to rest as a range of instruments are played slowly and intuitively, including Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, koshi chimes, native flute, drum, rainstick, and other supportive sounds.

The vibrations move through the body like ripples, supporting release of tension, soothing the nervous system, and encouraging awareness to drop down and in. Sound is offered with space and sensitivity, allowing each person to receive the experience in their own way.

Closing Grounding Meditation
The session closes with a guided grounding practice, helping the spaciousness created by sound to settle back into the body. This supports integration, so you leave not only relaxed, but steady, present, and embodied.

The Experience

This class is offered to a limited number of participants to preserve a sense of ease, safety, and spaciousness.

The room is prepared in advance so you can arrive and settle without needing to organise anything. Mats, blankets, and cushions are laid out ready, creating a simple, welcoming environment that supports rest and comfort.

You are welcome to lie down, sit upright, or adjust your position at any time. The atmosphere is unhurried and calm, with time allowed at the beginning and end of the session to transition gently.

Following the practice, herbal tea is offered to support integration. This time is yours — you may wish to sit quietly, journal, ask questions, or share reflections if you feel drawn to do so.

Embodiment & Integration

This practice is not about escaping or transcending experience. It is about inhabiting it more fully.

The combination of meditation, sound, and closing body-based guidance supports awareness to land in the body, helping insights and calm states to integrate into everyday presence.

A Gentle Note

Sound baths are not recommended if you:

  • have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device
  • are in the first trimester of pregnancy
  • experience sound-induced epilepsy or seizures
  • are currently navigating severe, untreated mental health conditions

Anyone with a hearing aid may wish to remove it during the sound bath.
If you are unsure whether this session is suitable, please consult your healthcare provider.

What to Bring

Just yourself and some water to stay hydrated. Mats, cushions, and blankets are provided, though you are very welcome to bring your own if that feels more supportive, along with anything else that helps you feel comfortable as you rest.

I look forward to welcoming you.
