ONLINE SOUND-SUPPORTED GUIDED EFFORTLESS MEDITATION
£10.00
WHERE: ONLINE (ZOOM)
TIME: Wednesday 29th July 2026 7-8pm
Description
This is a gentle, guided meditation class hosted online via Zoom. It is supported by sound at the beginning of the session to help the body and nervous system settle into your own home environment.
The practice invites you to arrive in the body, softening the mental busyness of the mind by transitioning from the mental concentration of mindful attention into the open spaciousness of awareness. Sound is used briefly and intentionally at the start of the class, and then set aside so the meditation can deepen in stillness, awareness, and embodied presence.
There is nothing to achieve and no prior meditation experience required. You are invited to join exactly as you are.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Each session follows a simple, steady structure designed to feel supportive, safe, and easy to follow from the comfort of your own space.
Arriving with Sound (15 minutes) The class begins with the gentle playing of Tibetan singing bowls. (For the best acoustic experience, wearing headphones or using an external speaker is highly recommended). This opening period supports:
-
Settling the nervous system
-
Slowing the breath naturally
-
Helping attention arrive in the body
-
You are welcome to lie down or sit comfortably at home, allowing the sound to support a sense of ease and arrival.
Guided Meditation (30 minutes) After the sound concludes, the practice moves into guided meditation. Guidance may include:
-
Awareness of natural breathing
-
Sensing the body from within
-
Noticing thoughts and emotional tone with kindness
-
Resting in open, receptive awareness
-
The emphasis is on grounding and embodiment, rather than effort or concentration.
Reflection and Integration (15 minutes) The session closes with time for integration. This may include quiet reflection, optional sharing via microphone or the Zoom chat, or a short inquiry. Silence is always welcome, and sharing or having your camera turned on is never required.
THE ROLE OF SOUND ONLINE
Sound is offered gently and sparingly at the beginning of each class to support settling and orientation.
Tibetan bowls and other soft percussive sounds are played slowly with space and silence between tones, optimized for online transmission. Sound is not something to follow or analyze; it is simply a support for arriving, after which the meditation continues in online stillness.
THE MEDITATION PRACTICE
The meditation offered in this class is rooted in direct, lived experience. Effortless meditation is an awareness-based practice guiding students into the restful space of open awareness, where breath, sensations, thoughts, and emotions rise and fall within experience itself, allowing everything to be exactly as it is.
This combination supports:
-
Grounding attention in the body
-
A softer relationship to thoughts and emotions
-
A sense of steadiness and openness that can carry into daily life
The practice is held in a way that is accessible, non-striving, and supportive of nervous system regulation.
