DATE TBA

reconnect with yourself

Welcome to this daylong mindful meditation retreat, where we will gently explore the deep connection between mind and body in a beautiful, safe and nurturing environment. I will invite you to slow down, breathe, and truly listen to the wisdom your body holds.

Through embodiment and movement practices, you will be invited to immerse yourself in the richness of mindful awareness, allowing the body to guide you into a deeper sense of presence. As well as seated and silent practices, you will also explore practices such as mindful movement, eating and communication, experiencing how each step, each bite, or each interaction can be an opportunity to connect more fully to your senses.

As we move through the day, you will be encouraged to explore the subtle ways your body interacts with the world around you, the feel of the earth beneath your feet, the taste of each meal, the sound of silence and the rhythm of your breath. In addition to these practices, there will be time for thoughtful discussions and space for questions and answers, where you can share insights and deepen your understanding of the practices.

As we slow down and practice being present in the body, we begin to notice the extraordinary within the ordinary. The sweetness of a single breath, the warmth of sunlight, the melody of nature. Each moment becomes an invitation to savour life more fully. we learn to embrace our bodies as wise, intuitive vessels that help us stay rooted in the now, and by doing so, we open ourselves to a world of endless wonder.

This retreat is designed to support you in finding ease, groundedness, and self-compassion to explore a sense of wholeness. Whether you are new to mindfulness or an experienced practitioner, this retreat is a chance to slow down and reconnect with yourself in a deeply nourishing way.

Welcome.

a day to experience…

coming into the body

You will gently begin your journey by exploring embodiment through being mindful of your breath and body with practices that turn your attention inward. You will be encouraged to become curious about the sensations and rhythms of your body as you take time to slow down and connect in this peaceful space.

You will be guided through body scans, allowing you to experience the body as it is in the present moment, feeling each part with a sense of openness and ease. This practice invites you to be fully present with your body, exploring sensations, noticing areas of tension or relaxation, and connecting with the wisdom that lies within.

You will also be invited to explore the breath as a steady and grounding companion, noticing how each inhale and exhale gently anchors us into the here and now. Through the breath, we create space for stillness and deep connection within ourselves, letting go of distractions and softening into the experience of being present.

We can learn to embrace our bodies as wise, intuitive vessels that help us stay rooted in the here and now, and by doing so, we open ourselves to a world of endless wonder. As we move through this practice together, know that you are held in a warm supportive space, where you can feel safe to explore at your own pace.

To be grounded in the body is to be rooted in the present moment. It is through the body that we experience the world, and it is through the body that we find our way back to the truth of who we are.

Eckhart Tolle

mindful movement

You will be invited to reconnect with yourself through the power of breath, movement and presence, stepping away from the busyness of everyday life and into a space of intentional stillness and awareness, allowing the body and mind to harmonise and heal.

Through mindful movement practices, we tune into the subtle wisdom of the body, learning to move with greater ease, grace and purpose. Each inhale invites renewal, while every exhale encourages release, creating space for balance and well-being. As we explore mindful walking, eating and communication, you will notice how slowing down and paying attention transforms even the simplest of actions into profound practices of awareness. Walking becomes a meditation in motion, where each step connects us with the earth and the rhythm of our bodies. Eating becomes a nourishing ritual, where we savour each bite with gratitude and through mindful communication, we practice deep listening and authentic expression, fostering compassion for ourselves and for others.

Breathe deeply and embrace the present moment and together we can allow a sense of inner calm and clarity extend into all aspects of life.

“Mindful movement is the dance of wholeness, where body, mind, and breath unite in harmony. Through each conscious step, we remember that we are not fragmented but deeply interconnected within ourselves and with the world around us.”

Tara Brach

the senses as a portal to presence

I will invite you to journey inward by awakening the senses and connecting deeply with the present moment, to pause, breathe and rediscover the richness of life.

Our senses are portals to presence, guiding us from the chatter of the mind to the immediacy of experience. When we truly see, hear, touch, taste, smell and feel the world around us, we access a deeper layer of awareness and intimacy with life.

You will explore how tuning into the senses can transform your relationship with yourself and the world, bringing greater clarity, peace and joy to each moment. Through these embodiment practices, you will be encouraged to deepen your connection to the body and expand your sensory awareness.

When we move with mindfulness, we open ourselves to the subtleties of sensation – how the air feels on our skin, the earth beneath our feet and the rhythm of our breath. These practices ground us, allowing the senses to flourish and guide us toward new and vibrant experiences.

“Our senses are the gateways to the present moment. When we fully open to what we see, hear, touch, taste, and smell, we enter a deeper connection with life, where every experience becomes a doorway to presence.”

Jon Kabat-Zinn

spacious awareness

Often, we find ourselves contracted, caught in the stories of the mind and the pressures of daily life. Yet, beneath this contraction lies an infinite field of awareness, always present, always still. It is here, in this quiet openness, that we find true peace and clarity.

You will be guided to explore what it means to let go of these inner tensions and gently relax into the vast, boundless space of your true nature. You may notice how the mind begins to quiet, and the heart begins to soften and sense the spacious quality of awareness itself – a presence that is not confined by the body or limited by thought. It is here that we reconnect with the wholeness that is always present, beyond the noise of our busy minds.

Throughout the day, we will have explored, through mindful discussion, contemplations and guided meditations, the breath, the body, gentle movement, the senses and moments of deep reflection, leading us to how this spacious awareness can hold all of our experiences, our joys, sorrows and everything in-between, without judgment or resistance.

As we end the day, by candle light, we can rest in this awareness, and discover that we are not separate from life but are deeply interconnected with everything around us. In this space, we find freedom, compassion, and a profound sense of ease.
